what
is chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a healthcare system specialised in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of biomechanical disorders of the musculo-skeletal system (disorders affecting the bone, joints, muscles and ligaments) and their effects on the nervous system. Chiropractors use standard diagnostic procedures (case history, physical examination, X-ray, laboratory examination) as well as chiropractic procedures in order to make an accurate diagnosis.
Chiropractors use their hands to perform adjustments (short, fast manipulations) to correct changes (subluxations) on the joints, muscles, ligaments and nerves thereby restoring function.
By taking into account physical, dietary and emotional factors, Chiropractors focus on the overall health and wellbeing of the patient.
