athlete's foot
Our feet respond to the environment in which they are placed. This includes the type of shoe we wear as well as swimming baths and changing rooms. Athlete's Foot is caused by a fungus called 'Tinea Pedis' and appears in different levels of severity on the skin and nails. Some of the symptoms associated with this condition are: skin that flakes, cracks or peels, sore pus-filled weeping rashes, itching between the toes and red and raw skin that can be itchy. Toenails can also become infected, brittle, thickened and discoloured.
